"Rosoboronexport" is beginning to promote the "Garpiya-A1 (E)" loitering munition, developed and produced by the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation, to the global market. The company is open to negotiations regarding the supply of the complex and the localization of its production in friendly countries.
The drone is designed as a "flying wing" with a pusher propeller. The fuselage length is 3.4 meters, the wingspan is 3 meters, and the take-off weight is 250 kilograms. The cruise engine is gasoline-powered, and the flight is automatic at altitudes from 50 to 2500 meters with a maximum speed of at least 170 km/h. The maximum flight duration is at least six hours. The warhead exceeds 50 kilograms, and the circular error probable is no more than 4 meters. Today, it is the only loitering munition on the global market with a range of up to 1000 kilometers.
According to the CEO of Rosoboronexport, the Almaz-Antey concern has already mastered the serial production of the complex and has reached a level that allows it to fulfill contracts with foreign customers within competitive deadlines without compromising the country's defense capabilities. The priority remains the fulfillment of obligations to the Russian Ministry of Defence. Thanks to its unique characteristics and the results of real combat use, the export version has already attracted interest from foreign customers and has been presented to a number of partners.
What the editorial board has already written about "Garpiya-A1"
"Pervy Tekhnichesky" has already written about "Garpiya-A1": in August 2025, an increase in the production of these loitering munitions at the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Kupol" was reported, and in May, the drones were first shown at the Victory Parade. Later, fragments of the "Garpiya-A1" KK series were found in Mali, indicating combat use in Africa. Now, "Rosoboronexport" is bringing the export version "Garpiya-A1 (E)" to the global market and is working on localizing production in friendly countries — similar to plans for "Orlan" drones.
