From CNC to Palletizing: "Tekhnorob" Industrial Robotics Laboratory Launched in Kirzhach

The new center will focus on welding robots and machine tool maintenance

The "Tekhnorob" Innovation Laboratory has started operating in Kirzhach, Vladimir Region, at the site of the "RusKlimat ICSEL" Technopark. The center will develop and implement robotic solutions for Russian enterprises. The project is a continuation of the automation of the technopark's production facilities, where about 80 industrial robots are currently operating.

"Tekhnorob" will focus on several areas: welding robotization, maintenance of CNC machines and press equipment, automatic stacking and palletizing of products. Another task is to create digital models of production sites with 3D modeling and calculation of parameters for future lines.

The laboratory employs 11 specialists whose combined experience in robotics exceeds 50 years. The team has participated in more than 600 projects, and over 50 robots have helped transfer more than 200 employees from routine operations to other tasks.

Industrial Robotization in Russia: Context

Earlier, we reported on the plans of the "RusKlimat ICSEL" technopark itself to purchase 200 additional industrial robots — at that time, Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov visited the technopark and urged to prioritize domestic equipment.

Meanwhile, the need for such competence centers remains acute: according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the robotization density in Russia in 2025 was only 29 robots per 10 thousand employees in the manufacturing industry, while the global average was 177. To achieve the target of 145 robots, over 80 thousand units need to be implemented — a task that cannot be solved without specialized engineering teams.
