Multifunctional vessel "Pevek" of project MPSV06M for Morspassluzhba to be launched in 2027

Shipbuilders of the Yantar shipyard are installing the main ship equipment

The multifunctional ice-class emergency rescue vessel "Pevek" will be launched in the second quarter of 2027. This became known during the working visit of the head of Rosmorrechflot, Andrey Tarasenko, to the Kaliningrad shipyard "Yantar", the press service of the shipbuilding enterprise reported.

Tarasenko inspected the progress of construction of the vessels "Pevek" and "Anadyr" (project MPSV06M), and also examined the production facilities of "Yantar". The head of Rosmorrechflot was assured that the work is proceeding according to plan. This order is of particular interest to the enterprise, said Nikolay Volov, advisor to the general director of the plant.

This is the first time we are building vessels of this class. We look forward to continued cooperation and hope that two more similar vessels will be laid down in Russia.

Currently, "Pevek", which is being built for Morspassluzhba (an institution subordinate to Rosmorrechflot), is at the stage of slipway assembly. Kaliningrad shipbuilders have formed the hull and superstructure, and installed the main diesel generators in the engine room.

Specialists are installing the main ship equipment. The main switchboard and towing winch are planned to be installed in November-December 2026.

Ilya Samarin, General Director of the Yantar shipyard, said that the enterprise has already fulfilled "three obligations out of seven control points" for the construction of "Pevek". Shipbuilders are also forming the hull of the vessel "Anadyr". This work is planned to be completed by the end of summer, he concluded.
