The first images, presumably of the new S8000 "Banderol" cruise missile for Su-34 and Su-35S bombers, have appeared online. This was reported by analysts from the "Voennaya Khronika" Telegram channel.
The estimated mass of the high-explosive fragmentation warhead of the "Banderol" is 114 kg, of which about 49.5 kg is explosive.
The official characteristics of the "Banderol" have not yet been disclosed. Military analysts suggested that the fuselage length is about 5 m, and it was made with stealth elements. The wingspan of the retractable wing is 2.2 m. Fuel reserve is 50–65 kg, flight range is 500 km.
The cost of the "Banderol" missile is estimated from 50 to 150 thousand dollars. For comparison, the price of the French SCALP-EG and British Storm Shadow is estimated at approximately 2 million dollars per missile.
Initially, information appeared online that "Banderols" were used by widely used Su-25 attack aircraft, but then Su-34 and even Mi-28 helicopters were added to the list.
