Russian military personnel have received a modernized BM-35 attack drone with a jet engine. The drone is now capable of speeds exceeding 350 km/h and can cover a distance of 200 km.
Launching the BM-35 does not require complex preparation — the drone is launched into the air in a matter of minutes from any terrain using a mobile platform.
The operator can control the drone at any point of its flight trajectory. Electronic warfare systems are unable to affect its flight.
The drone's warhead weighs 10 kg, and its flight range exceeds 200 km. The stated speed of the BM-35 makes the device practically invulnerable to interceptor drones. The previous speed of the device was estimated at 200 km/h.
In January 2026, it became known that the BM-35 uses, among other things, Starlink modules for targeting. Later, the system stopped working, but the drones were switched to other internet communication means and returned to service.
