The 8812.10 engine with 653 hp was installed on the FS650 forage harvester, after which the unit proceeded to operational tests. The new diesel engine was developed by PAO "Tutaevsky Motorny Zavod" based on the "Progress" platform.
The engine is based on the "Progress" platform, which was refined and certified by the Scientific and Technical Center of PAO "KAMAZ". The family includes a cast iron cylinder head, a Common Rail fuel system, and an M240 electronic control unit.
The fuel equipment operates with an injection pressure of up to 1600 bar. The electronics allow changing the moment and duration of fuel supply depending on the engine operating mode. According to TM3, this should ensure competitive fuel consumption and heat dissipation, as well as facilitate engine starting in cold weather.
The new engine became a development of the cooperation between TM3 and Gomselmash. Previously, the Tutayevsky plant reported on the creation of a 653-hp V8 for Belarusian forage harvesting equipment.
