The Samara plant "ODK-Kuznetsov", which produces engines for Tu-160 strategic bombers, reduced its net loss by 10.4% to 2.65 billion rubles in the first half of 2026. At the same time, the company's revenue grew by almost 8% to 6.8 billion rubles.
The company's report shows that a significant part of the expenses is not related to current product output, but to a large-scale modernization of the production itself.
"ODK-Kuznetsov" points to increasing depreciation – new facilities have been put into operation, and their equipment requires additional costs. The enterprise has to purchase equipment, tooling, instruments, and restore utility infrastructure.
In addition, commercial expenses increased more than 11 times – to 262.6 million rubles, of which 240.9 million rubles accounted for the reserve for warranty repairs. At the same time, the loss from sales decreased by 40.6% – to 965.9 million rubles.
"ODK-Kuznetsov" specializes in the development, production, and service maintenance of gas turbine and rocket engines. One of the company's key developments is the NK-32-02 for the Tu-160M strategic missile carrier.
In March, it became known that the plant is building a new workshop with an area of more than 6.6 thousand m² for 1 billion rubles.
