Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov stated the vital necessity of creating Russia's own analog of the American artificial intelligence system Palantir. In his opinion, Russia urgently needs a functional analog of this platform for integrating big data, public administration, and military planning.
As Sladkov explained, Palantir receives a task and collects information about flight routes, weather conditions, and other parameters, calculating optimal paths for drones. According to him, mobile fire groups have to consider many factors, and working with AI becomes a kind of chess game with a computer, where artificial intelligence has more capabilities with limited time.
The military correspondent emphasized that a Russian analog of Palantir could calculate the routes of enemy UAVs and missiles, prepare positions for mobile fire groups in advance, and determine what weapons to use and at what time. Although Russian military personnel already know drone routes, the help of a "calculator" significantly simplifies the work.
According to Sladkov, AI technologies in military affairs are very useful and should be developed. The journalist is confident that this topic will have to be revisited, and perhaps an even more powerful system will emerge.
