Alexander Sinelnikov, CEO of Izhvia Airlines, announced his resignation. The statement came a week after Rosaviatsiya annulled the carrier's operating certificate, which stripped the company of its right to operate commercial flights and halted ticket sales.
According to Sinelnikov, his last working day at the company will be August 7. The CEO also noted that he submitted his resignation at the request of the management and thanked the team for almost eight years of joint work.
The former head of the airline said he took the decision to annul the operating certificate hard. In his opinion, it was unfair. At the same time, he emphasized that Izhvia continues to fulfill its previously assumed obligations to passengers.
Earlier, Rosaviatsiya annulled Izhvia's operating certificate. After this, the airline lost the ability to perform commercial transportation, and the Udmurtia authorities announced their intention to include the enterprise in the privatization forecast plan for 2026 to attract investments.
