The first dredge for Kazakhstan, "Irtysh-2503" of project FPDR1, was built in Astrakhan

The non-self-propelled vessel's capacity is 250 m³/h

Astrakhan shipbuilders have completed the construction of the non-self-propelled multi-bucket dredge "Irtysh-2503" of project FPDR1 at the Stroyliderplus company's site. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Classification Society.

"Irtysh-2503" is the first vessel in a series being built at Stroyliderplus facilities by order of the Committee of Railway and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan.

Characteristics of the FPDR1 project dredge:

  • Length — 51.5 m
  • Width — 12.2 m
  • Board height — 3 m
  • Engine power — 2x350 kW
  • Crew — 28 people.

The new dredge, with a capacity of 250 m³/h, is designed for dredging operations. Such vessels are used for the extraction of non-metallic building materials (river sand, sand-gravel mixtures, clays and loams), as well as for maintaining navigable waterways — deepening channels, approaches to berths.
