The company "Tekhnoregion" from Yeysk is developing a twin-engine aircraft TR-301/350 based on the Soviet An-2 biplane. The main difference of the project is a new power plant – instead of one engine, it received two GTD-350 turboshaft engines.
The maximum take-off weight of the TR-301/350 is 4500 kg, the empty weight of the aircraft is 2600 kg. The machine is designed to carry up to 9 passengers and can be used in regional aviation, where operation from short unprepared strips is required.
Two engines with a power of 400 hp each allow the aircraft to reach speeds of up to 300 km/h, and the cruising speed is declared at 220–250 km/h. The practical flight range can reach 1100 km.
The take-off run of the aircraft is about 400 m, and the landing roll is 300 m. This preserves one of the main advantages of the An-2 – the ability to operate from small airfields.
The fuel capacity reaches 1200 liters, the consumption in cruising mode is declared from 180 liters per hour. The practical ceiling of the aircraft is 5200 m.
Recall that to replace the An-2 in Russia, the new regional LMS-901 "Baikal" is currently being developed. In 2026, it will not go into series.
Earlier, "Pervyy Tekhnicheskiy" in a large article compared the capabilities of the An-2 with the "Baikal". The Soviet aircraft turned out to be surprisingly versatile and unpretentious, although it raised questions about speed and fuel consumption.
