Killer Charger: Roskachestvo Rejected 13 Out of 20 Devices and Named the Price of Safety

Cheaper than 900 rubles is an almost guaranteed risk if the charger brand is not verified

Roskachestvo conducted a large-scale inspection of charging devices and found that most of them do not meet safety requirements, RIA Novosti reports. Out of 20 tested samples, 13 failed tests across 37 quality and safety indicators. The main problem is not in power or charging speed – this is something they have learned to handle – but in protection systems: manufacturers save on insulation, fire-resistant plastic, and interference filters.

A buyer of such a device gets not a slow charge, but a potential source of fire and electric shock, the organization explained. Outwardly, counterfeit goods may be indistinguishable from the original, so the only protection is the place of purchase and the price. Experts recommend not buying chargers cheaper than 900–1000 rubles, unless it is a product from a verified brand, and purchasing equipment only in large federal chains or official stores on marketplaces.

Thus, the safety formula is simple: brand reputation plus a price tag above 900 rubles. Anything below that is a lottery with high chances of ignition.
