Without a warhead, but with AI: the new "Hunt" drone surpassed the legendary "Yolka"

The drone reaches speeds of up to 290 km/h and hits targets kinetically

Russian engineers have invented the "Hunt" interceptor drone, equipped with a built-in neural network that predicts target maneuvers and calculates the optimal interception trajectory. The device receives targeting information from a radar station, and after being guided to the target area, the AI independently guides the interceptor to the enemy drone.

The "Hunt" reaches a maximum speed of up to 290 km/h, a flight range of up to 40 km, a ceiling of 2000 m, and a flight duration of 17 minutes. Launch is possible both by hand and from a ground launcher. Target engagement is carried out kinetically – without the use of a warhead.

Compared to the "Yolka" drone, the new interceptor has increased speed and range, as well as a more advanced guidance algorithm. The neural network processes data from onboard sensors in real time and forms a predictive trajectory, which reduces the probability of target evasion. The architecture is particularly effective against FPV drones and small reconnaissance aircraft operating at low altitudes.

The developer is Neat. The drone is designed to intercept aircraft-type UAVs, and the possibility of engaging heavy copters is also being explored.
