The number of unmanned aerial vehicles supplied to the Russian Armed Forces in 2026 more than doubled compared to the previous year. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Alexey Krivoruchko at a meeting of the department's board.

According to him, the greatest attention was paid to increasing the supply of FPV drones and other unmanned systems. The growth in volumes is associated with the expanded use of these systems and the need to equip units with modern technology.

Krivoruchko noted that in the first half of 2026, the Ministry of Defense focused on the procurement and implementation of new types of weapons, including unmanned platforms, as well as on providing units with the necessary equipment.

At the same time, the department expanded the system for training specialists to work with UAVs. In the first six months of the year, more than 8,000 people were trained. Training centers prepare both individual operators and crews who practice interaction with equipment as part of units.

The Ministry of Defense also continues to equip military units with modern unmanned systems and develop personnel training programs for their operation.
