Schoolgirl from MIREA created a website for finding animals

A graduate of the Children's Technopark "Altair" of RTU MIREA, 11th-grade student of school No. 814 Aglaya Marenkova, developed a website for finding pets, "Pervy Tekhnichesky" was informed by the university's press service. The platform takes into account the user's individual preferences – breed, age, pet's character traits, as well as the lifestyle and experience of the future owner.

The idea for the project was born from the schoolgirl's love for animals: instead of standard ad browsing, she decided to create a smart service with selection algorithms. At the Altair technopark, Aglaya mastered Python programming, web application development, and, under the guidance of a mentor, fine-tuned the service. Built-in tips and recommendations make the platform convenient and easy to understand.

The project has already received recognition – a victory in the "Golden Dozen" competition and a prize-winning place at the "Engineers of the Future" conference. The project leader, technopark teacher Svyatoslav Zolotukhin, noted that Aglaya created not just a website, but a tool that solves a real problem. Rector of RTU MIREA Stanislav Kudzh emphasized the social significance of the development, which helps animals find a home.

The schoolgirl plans to develop the platform, add new filters, and expand opportunities for user communication. The project can be useful for shelters, volunteers, and everyone looking for a four-legged friend.
