The key condition for starting deliveries of the Il-114-300 turboprop liner to foreign buyers will be its successful operation on domestic routes. This was stated by the head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov.
The minister emphasized that meeting domestic needs is the main task for the industry. In the future, up to 12 Il-114-300s will be built in the country annually.
But to sell for export, this product must be in demand on the domestic market. Foreigners always pay close attention to this. If the aircraft flies, their interest in such an aircraft is always higher.
The Il-114-300 received a type certificate, which allowed the transfer of the first three aircraft to the Second Arkhangelsk Aviation Detachment.
OAK announced plans to produce from six to 12 Il-114-300 aircraft per year, depending on demand. The head of GTLC, Mikhail Parnev, noted that Russian airlines need 40 Il-114-300 aircraft.
