60 times cheaper than "Penicillin" and AZK-7M: The "Zavarukha" acoustic reconnaissance system has been adopted by the Russian military

The newest acoustic reconnaissance system "Zavarukha" for detecting enemy firing positions has been adopted by servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces. This was stated by the official representative of the Scientific and Production Association (NPO) "Alfa".

This is the most compact sound reconnaissance system. The microphone array size does not exceed 1 m. "Zavarukha" has already undergone combat testing.

According to him, the complex showed high detection accuracy: the error does not exceed 400 m at a range of more than 20 km. At the same time, the error at a distance of 12 km is only 150 m. The maximum operating range of "Zavarukha" is 27 km.

The development of NPO "Alfa" can operate on battery power for up to 5 days. Thanks to its small size, it has increased stealth.

The representative of the scientific and production association emphasized that the Russian Armed Forces have only 2 sound reconnaissance products in service. These are "Penicillin" and AZK-7M, which are installed on KAMAZ and Ural chassis.

However, such equipment requires up to 20 service personnel. "Zavarukha" is not only more compact, simpler, but also 60 times cheaper than the aforementioned systems, he concluded.
