"Ural Airlines" wants to conclude firm contracts for the supply of 10 MC-21-310 aircraft, but there are no even approximate dates yet. This was stated by the airline's CEO, Kirill Skuratov.
In 2023, the carrier publicly announced plans for 40 aircraft, but eventually, the number decreased by 4 times.
We are in the process of forming contracts. There are no clear dates yet. Our plan is to acquire 10 aircraft. Then we will look further, many options are being discussed.
Skuratov added that "Ural Airlines" will build a new hangar at Koltsovo airport for aircraft maintenance for 10 billion rubles.
We will service not only the Airbus family, but also the MC-21, and possibly the Superjet. By 2032–2033, everything will already be launched into production.
"Ural Airlines" operates foreign aircraft of the Airbus A320 family. As of 2025, it included four A319s, three A320neos, 22 A320ceos, eight A321neos, and 12 A321ceos. The condition of the company's fleet is currently unknown.
In April, media reported that "Ural Airlines" temporarily ceased operating 10 aircraft, including its entire Airbus A321neo fleet. The reason was the lack of components due to sanctions restrictions.
