Passenger traffic on Tu-204 and Tu-214 family aircraft in the first half of 2026 increased by 8%, and the number of flights performed grew by 13%. These results were achieved by Red Wings airline – the sole commercial operator of these Russian medium-haul airliners.
According to the carrier, in June alone, Tu-204 and Tu-214 aircraft transported about 30 thousand passengers. This is twice as many as in June last year, indicating a significant increase in aircraft load.
In total, from January to June, Red Wings performed about 10 thousand flights on Russian-made aircraft and transported approximately 840 thousand passengers. The core of the airline's fleet continues to be SSJ-100 airliners.
The most popular destinations in the first half of the year were flights from Moscow to Tbilisi, Tel Aviv, Sochi, Batumi, and St. Petersburg. High demand was also recorded on routes from Yekaterinburg to Kazan, Astana, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Orenburg, Almaty, Barnaul, Novokuznetsk, and Tomsk.
