State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) has signed a lease agreement with "Vodolet" (Nizhny Novgorod) for the supply of a "Meteor 120R" hydrofoil passenger vessel (Project 03580, developed by specialists of JSC "R.E. Alekseev Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoil Vessels"). This was reported by the GTLK press service.
The deal was concluded within the framework of the program for the development of water transport leasing with state funding, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
The company "Vodolet" already owns two "Meteors". They are operated on popular routes in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The lead vessel of Project 03580 "Meteor 120R" was laid down in 2019. It was built at the production facilities of JSC "R.E. Alekseev Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoil Vessels" in Nizhny Novgorod.
The newest high-speed motor ships replaced the Soviet "Meteors", which were mass-produced by the Zelenodolsk Shipyard in Tatarstan. They became more comfortable for passengers: 3 restrooms for passengers, a cafe-bar with drinks appeared.
