The premiere of the new urban crossover Jeland C5 took place. It will be produced using a full technological cycle at the plants of the AGR holding. The model opens the brand's C-series and is a redesigned version of the Omoda C5, which is familiar to the Russian market.
The crossover received a dynamic silhouette, full LED optics, and 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels depending on the trim level.
The interior is designed with a modern architecture emphasizing digital technologies. The model features an 8-inch virtual instrument panel, a multimedia system with a screen from 12.3 to 15.6 inches, a powerful octa-core processor, 50W wireless smartphone charging with a cooling system, and voice control.
The equipment also includes a panoramic sunroof, eco-leather seats, and an electric tailgate. The car has a luggage compartment volume of up to 1149 liters with the second row folded.
The developers paid special attention to adapting the car to Russian operating conditions. The crossover features dual-zone climate control and an extended winter package, including heating for the steering wheel, windshield and rear windows, exterior mirrors, washer nozzles, and all seats.
Safety features include front and side airbags, a 540-degree surround view system, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and an electronic traffic jam assistant.
Under the hood is a non-alternative 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 147 horsepower. It works in conjunction with a DCT robotic gearbox with two clutches. Buyers will be offered versions with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive.
The public display of the Jeland C5 will take place at VK Fest venues in St. Petersburg and Moscow. The price of the model has not yet been announced, but given its origin and close resemblance to the Omoda C5, it can be expected that the price range will be comparable to that crossover.
