Rostec created marine temperature sensors up to +800 °C for gas turbines

"Etalon" replaced imported measuring devices for marine vessels

Omsk Research and Production Enterprise "Etalon" (part of Rostec) has successfully completed a project to create a line of import-substituting temperature sensors for marine vessels. The development was carried out according to an accelerated technical specification from a shipbuilding plant in St. Petersburg.

Following acceptance tests, the shipyard completely abandoned foreign analogues in favor of Siberian devices.

Etalon engineers performed reverse engineering of imported solutions based on provided photo materials and specifications, creating completely authentic sensors in protected housings.

The new measuring equipment is designed for continuous monitoring of thermal conditions of key components of marine propulsion systems.

The devices are capable of operating in extreme data acquisition mode. At the turbine outlet, the sensors withstand thermal loads up to +800 °C, preventing thermal overheating of the blades and ensuring trouble-free operation of the ship's power plant.
