Certification of the import-substituted regional aircraft SJ-100 is now planned to be completed by the end of 2026 – first quarter of 2027. This was announced by the head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov.
The manufacturer must form and submit a complete set of evidentiary documentation to Rosaviatsia, based on which the type certificate will be reissued.
The Superjet has already flown more than 80% of its flight program, and we plan to complete the flight program this year.
Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Trade planned to complete the certification tests of the SJ-100 with the PD-8 engine by August 2026.
The deadlines announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade mean a shift of approximately 6 months compared to previous expectations.
The fully import-substituted SJ-100 has received a number of technical solutions that have no direct analogues among Western competitors from Boeing and Airbus.
