The first national drone operator with state participation, OOO "BAS" (a joint project of GTLC and Sber), deployed an agro-complex at two "field days" – in the Vladimir and Tambov regions. The exhibitions were visited by the regional governors, who personally evaluated the high-precision spraying technology.
The complex is based on the heavy DJI Agras T40 drone with a coaxial rotor scheme, a 40-liter tank, and an orange omnidirectional radar. Ilya Ladyka, Executive Director of "BAS", explained that the operator sets the route via a ground station, after which the machine operates fully autonomously. The company claims a reduction in plant protection product costs by up to 50% due to ultra-low volume application and a twofold increase in yield thanks to multispectral monitoring.
The reliance on a Chinese platform in a project with state backing is easily explained: Russian heavy-class agro-drones are only just beginning to enter the mass market and are not yet able to meet the avalanche of demand. At the same time, the "BAS" devices weighing more than 30 kg are officially registered with Rosaviatsiya, as evidenced by their tail numbers, and are fully legalized. The deployment of mobile complexes with generators for fast battery charging confirms that the company is ready for maximum scaling in the current agricultural season.
