The fully import-substituted "Superjet", whose cockpit Vladimir Putin inspected on June 24 in Zhukovsky, turned out to be the same airliner that caused a stir at the air show in Hyderabad, India, back in January, RIA Novosti found out. This particular aircraft was demonstrated abroad for the first time.
Indian Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu personally evaluated the aircraft: he visited not only the passenger cabin but also the pilot's seat. The SJ-100 is being created under a program of total import substitution of systems and components, and its export debut confirmed high interest in the short-haul airliner.
Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov stated at SPIEF-2026 that the "Superjet" has completed over 80% of its certification flights. Full certification of the aircraft is scheduled by the end of 2026.
