Shipbuilders of the St. Petersburg shipyard "Galaktika" have completed the construction of the floating oil storage facility "Stalebeton 0-01" (the lead vessel of project 04650). This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The oil storage facility is a single-deck steel-concrete non-self-propelled stationary vessel. It houses 8 cargo tanks and 2 settling tanks (sealed compartment/capacity). "Stalebeton 0-01" can be moored at a berth or grounded.
Main characteristics of the oil storage facility "Stalebeton 0-01":
- Length — 57 m
- Width — 23 m
- Side height — 15.6 m
- Total capacity of cargo tanks — 17,806.79 cubic meters
Project 04650 was developed by Baltspetsproekt specialists. The vessel is designed for storing petroleum products, transferring liquid cargo to any type of land or sea transport, including tank trucks and railway tank cars.
Compared to oil storage facilities of project 04080, the new vessels feature greater cargo capacity and an improved hull design with external reinforcement. "Stalebeton 0-01" is designed for operation at water temperatures from −4 ºС.
