Russian aircraft manufacturers have presented a solution that can significantly accelerate aircraft production. The project competition for improving the production system was won by the project of the JSC "Il" branch – "Aviastar", which provides for reducing the assembly cycle of aircraft elements to a 20-working-day takt.
The development took first place among dozens of projects submitted by UAC enterprises.
The competition brought together representatives from 13 industry enterprises. Over three days, participants presented 38 projects in the areas of production, quality, and economics.
"Aviastar" was tasked with increasing production. To achieve this, new robotic machines were introduced at the plant.
UAC head Vadim Badekha stated that there is huge interest from foreign customers in the Ulyanovsk Il-76MD-90A. He did not specify which ones.
