The T-90M "Proryv" received another package of improvements aimed at increasing the vehicle's survivability. Uralvagonzavod significantly modernized the electronic warfare system, strengthened the protection of the upper hemisphere, and additionally protected the engine-transmission compartment projection.
A Rostec representative reported on the ongoing improvement of the tank. According to him, the modernization of the T-90M does not stop and is carried out based on the proposals of military personnel who have practical experience in operating equipment in combat conditions.
The main task of the current modernization remains the comprehensive improvement of the T-90M's survivability on the battlefield, reducing vulnerability to modern weapons, and further strengthening crew protection.
Rostec also reported that accumulated combat experience is used not only in modernizing existing equipment but also in creating promising models of armored vehicles. For this reason, Rostec, together with Bauman Moscow State Technical University, is implementing a program to prepare veterans for engineering education with subsequent employment at the corporation's enterprises.
