"Yandex Go" has started operations in Istanbul, opening access to its taxi service in Turkey's largest city. The launch was carried out by Yandex Türkiye, which simultaneously announced plans to invest $100 million in the development of its mobile services in the country.
At launch, users can access rides under the "Economy" and "Comfort" tariffs. The company reported that AI-powered navigation technologies help optimize routes and have already reduced the average trip time by 7.07%.
In the coming months, the service plans to expand the list of available services in Istanbul by adding new categories.
Istanbul has become the sixth city in Turkey where "Yandex Go" operates. Previously, the service appeared in Izmir, Antalya, Ankara, Mersin, and Adana, consistently expanding its presence in the Turkish market.
