At the "More" shipyard (part of OSK) in Feodosia, the first passenger high-speed catamaran of Project 04580 "Kotlin" — "Sirius-Vector" — was launched. According to the enterprise's press service, the vessel was built by order of the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLC) and is the first in a series of four units. The project is being implemented as part of an investment program to renew the water fleet using funds from the National Wealth Fund.
The hull and superstructure of the catamaran are made of aluminum-magnesium alloy. With an overall length of 32 meters, a width of 8.7 meters, and a draft of 1.32 meters, the vessel can accommodate up to 200 passengers. Two engines with a total power of 1,764 kW provide a maximum speed of about 30 knots. The catamaran is designed for operation in waves up to four points and is adapted for passengers with limited mobility.
"Sirius-Vector" is the lead vessel in a series of four catamarans contracted by GTLC as part of an investment project with state support. Thus, Russia is establishing serial production of high-speed passenger vessels for coastal and inland routes.
