The newest self-propelled sprayer "Tuman-5" tested on Kuban rice fields

The equipment confidently moves over waterlogged soil and does not leave deep ruts

The self-propelled sprayer "Tuman-5" was tested on the rice fields of Kuban. The model demonstrated its suitability for working in conditions of high humidity and difficult passability, characteristic of rice paddies. The main task of the equipment is to combat weed infestation, which reduces the genetic potential of the crop, especially with the appearance of resistant weeds.

The confident operation of "Tuman-5" is based on a 6x4 chassis, reinforced pneumatic suspension with two shock absorbers for each wheel, and a hydrostatic transmission that allows precise power regulation and prevents wheelspin. The equipment is equipped with permanent front-wheel drive and an anti-slip system, which enables it to move over wet ground without forming deep ruts.

During the season of excessive rainfall, when traditional heavy machinery cultivation is difficult and nitrogen leaching from the soil reaches 40–50 percent, "Tuman-5" became a solution for farmers, according to the manufacturer. Sprayers with low-pressure tires were used for foliar feeding. This ensured rapid absorption of fertilizers by plants even on waterlogged fields and allowed to compensate for nitrogen deficiency, preserving yields.
