The Moscow Arbitration Court partially satisfied the claim of the Russian Foundation for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT) against Voicecom (OOO "Voice Communication") for the recovery of 100 million rubles, CNews reports. The reason was the low sales of the SecureTrack AI acoustic monitoring system, created using AI to detect panic, explosions, and gunshots in public places.
In 2021, Voicecom received a grant of 72 million rubles from RFRIT for the development of the SecureTrack AI system. However, monitoring revealed that three out of seven planned indicators were not achieved, and one was completed late. The commercialization of the solution in 2024 amounted to only 13.5 million rubles, against a plan of almost 36 million. Inclusion in the register of domestic software was delayed by two years. In July 2025, the RFRIT grant committee unilaterally terminated the agreement.
The court ruled to recover from Voicecom the principal debt of 65.1 million rubles, penalties totaling 32.3 million rubles, and interest for the use of funds. The total amount of recovery was 99.4 million rubles.
At the same time, the Ministry of Digital Development restricted access to the registry entry of another company product – the MAICS platform for creating voice bots. The department explained that access may be restricted if outdated information is found. Exclusion from the register will prevent Voicecom from participating in government procurement and accessing a number of benefits.
Experts believe that the recovery could lead to the company's bankruptcy. The amount represents almost half of Voicecom's annual revenue, and the company's market value is estimated at approximately 105.8 million rubles. Voicecom's clients previously included Sberbank, Aeroflot, Promsvyazbank, Russian Railways, T2, and Rosatom. The company was also mentioned in a criminal case related to extortion.
