Plywood reconnaissance drone "Gerbera" uncovers air defense at a range of up to 600 km

The "Seeker" version of the drone received additional fuel tanks

The Russian reconnaissance drone "Gerbera" has sharply increased its flight range. Now the drone flies up to 600 km.

The new modification was named "Gerbera-Seeker". In fact, the drone acts as a decoy for air defense systems, revealing their positions.

The drone's body is made almost entirely of plywood and rigid foam. Additional fuel tanks provided increased range. The previous most known range of "Gerbera" was up to 300 km.

Previously, the drone had already begun to be used as a carrier for small drones. After dropping, the "Gerbera" acts as a flying repeater, providing the transmission of command-telemetry channel and videolink.

A special coating makes the "Gerbera" invisible to the radars of anti-aircraft systems.
