Cash Only: Tatneft Imposes Restrictions at All Russian Gas Stations Due to Supply Disruptions

Gasoline and diesel are dispensed with limits, the duration of the new rules is unknown

At Tatneft gas stations across the country, restrictions on the dispensing of gasoline and diesel fuel have come into effect, and payments are temporarily accepted only in cash.

The restrictions, which were only observed in certain regions in the morning, now apply to all of the company's gas stations in Russia. As reported by the hotline, the entire network of gas stations is currently operating under the new rules. However, the company did not disclose the reasons for the restrictions, nor the possible dates for their cancellation.

Earlier, similar measures already affected a number of regions. In the morning, it became known that in the Urals, drivers were dispensed no more than 30 liters of gasoline and up to 60 liters of diesel fuel per person. The day before, limits appeared at gas stations in Ulyanovsk. At that time, company representatives also did not explain what caused the change in the fuel sales procedure.

It is currently unknown whether the current restrictions will remain in place in the coming days and whether the established limits will be revised. Tatneft has not published additional clarifications regarding the situation, so motorists are advised to take possible restrictions into account when planning trips.

The day before, a number of Russian refineries again received the right to supply Euro-5 class gasoline and diesel fuel to the domestic market, but with environmental characteristics that actually correspond to the Euro-3 level.
