BELAZ has taken another step in modernizing its production facilities by launching a line of ten horizontal milling centers with numerical control. The complex is designed to produce a wide range of components for mining equipment and can significantly increase the efficiency of parts processing.
The company noted that the new machining centers expand the technological capabilities of production, allow for faster development of new products, and more promptly respond to customer needs. According to Andrei Kovalyov, Deputy General Director – Technical Director of BELAZ, the implementation of such equipment elevates mechanical processing to a qualitatively new level and provides the necessary flexibility for updating the product line.
Modern machines ensure high precision manufacturing of parts critical for the operation of mining dump trucks. Thanks to comprehensive processing of workpieces in a single setup, the labor intensity of operations is reduced, and productivity increases. The equipment is versatile: it manufactures suspension components, steering system components, and various housing parts. In total, the new line is designed for approximately 30 types of products.
The commissioning of the complex has become one of the largest stages of technical modernization of the enterprise recently and has strengthened BELAZ's production capabilities in the heavy mining equipment segment.
