New "Volgas" alongside Mercedes-Benz: Volga K50 and K40 crossovers ready for sales launch on June 19

The price for the flagship K50 starts from 4.2 million rubles

The revived Volga brand is ready for the start of retail sales. According to the Volgalla channel, the Volga K50, Volga K40 crossovers and the Volga C50 sedan have already arrived at dealerships and are awaiting buyers, with the new cars displayed in showrooms side-by-side with Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

The entire lineup is based on localized Geely models (Atlas, Monjaro, and Preface). The flagship Volga K50 is equipped with a 238-hp 2.0-liter turbo engine, all-wheel drive, and an 8-speed automatic transmission, with a starting price of 4.2 million rubles.

The Volga K40 crossover will be offered with 1.5 and 2.0-liter engines to choose from, front or all-wheel drive, and a 7-speed "robot" or an 8-speed "automatic" – its basic version will cost 2.75 million rubles.

Production is organized at the facilities of the former Volkswagen and Skoda plant in Nizhny Novgorod, capable of producing up to 110 thousand cars per year. In fact, the Volga project transforms a Chinese technological platform into a product aimed at replacing departed European and Japanese brands, using an aggressive pricing policy and a dealership network familiar to Russian consumers.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the official start of sales for the new Volgas is scheduled for June 19. In the first stage, cars will be available through 25–30 dealerships. Later, the network is planned to be significantly expanded – up to 130 points across the country.
