The format of homework assignments in schools needs to be changed due to the rapid development of artificial intelligence. This was stated by Anzor Muzaev, the head of Rosobrnadzor, on the sidelines of the SPIEF. According to him, the usual practice of learned material should increasingly shift to a more practical format.
We need a format for assignments that will interest the child or force them, motivate them to do something: either a project, or some practical part of the assignment, or to learn something.
According to him, the development of AI has become a serious challenge not only for schools but also for higher education. Neural networks can already quickly prepare texts, answers, and solutions, so traditional written assignments are becoming increasingly difficult to use as a fair way to assess independent work.
The topic of AI in education is actively discussed at the SPIEF. Earlier, Maksut Shadaev, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, stated that about 80% of Russian schoolchildren regularly use artificial intelligence. In addition, starting from September 1, the "Artificial Intelligence" profile is planned to be introduced into the school curriculum.
