Lada Niva Travel has become AvtoVAZ's most marginal model. Currently, this SUV brings the company the most profitable result from each car sold. This was stated by AvtoVAZ head Maxim Sokolov.
Previously, Lada Granta was AvtoVAZ's main car in terms of profit and marginality. However, the leader has now changed. Sokolov also noted the good results of Lada Vesta: over the past two months, its sales at dealerships have begun to grow and exceeded the plans the company had budgeted.
Niva Travel is a compact all-wheel drive SUV. The current version received a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with 90 hp, a five-speed manual transmission, and permanent all-wheel drive. The maximum speed is 150 km/h, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes 16.2 seconds.
After the update, the model also received a revised suspension, more powerful brakes, and a modified exterior. The new 1.8-liter engine should provide more confident traction both off-road and on asphalt.
