Brains for UAVs go into production: Moscow Polytechnic launches full-cycle electronics assembly site

Automatic optical inspection and in-circuit testing guarantee quality for every device

Moscow Polytechnic University has established an experimental production site that elevates the development and assembly of electronic devices to a fundamentally new level. As reported by TASS in the university's press service, the site covers a full cycle – from technological audit to contract assembly of series of radio-electronic products. Already, complex components are being manufactured here, including central computers for unmanned vehicles.

The new site becomes the production base for the Advanced Engineering School of Technological Leadership and shifts electronics assembly from single-unit production to mass production. To ensure quality, a multi-level control system has been established at the site: incoming component inspection, automatic optical inspection, in-circuit and functional testing. This approach guarantees the reliability of every device, whether it's an experimental batch or preparation for mass production.

Potential customers include R&D divisions, technology startups, and design bureaus, with energy being considered a priority niche by the university. Simultaneously, the site will become a training ground for the industry, preparing operators, technologists, and quality engineers capable of working with the full production cycle. In essence, Moscow Polytechnic has created a universal production cell, ready to meet the industry's needs for high-quality electronics – from prototype to series.
