At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an updated Lada Aura was presented at the Roscongress stand. The car attracted attention not only with its body kit but also with a new horizontal tablet-style head unit running on the Russian "Aurora" operating system.
"Aurora" is a domestic mobile operating system developed by Rostelecom based on Linux. It is used in corporate and government sectors, as well as in devices with high information security requirements. In the automotive version, the OS ensures the operation of multimedia and navigation systems, as well as the management of connected services. The introduction of "Aurora" into cars is a step towards digital sovereignty and the independence of the Russian automotive industry from foreign platforms.
