Wildberries has launched a new "Smart Comparison" feature in test mode. This AI tool helps shoppers choose between several products faster and understand their differences.
Users will be able to select several items, and the neural network will compile a short and clear comparison: main differences, pros and cons, as well as a recommendation for a specific task. For example, when choosing a laptop, the AI will suggest which model is better suited for work, study, gaming, or travel.
The function is especially useful in categories where many characteristics are important: electronics, home appliances, tools, home and renovation goods. Instead of manually studying dozens of parameters, the buyer will receive an explanation in natural language directly within the application.
Wildberries notes that AI should solve specific user tasks, and not just be "technology for technology's sake." According to Kristina Moshko, Product Director of the Wildberries website and application, purchasing complex equipment often turns into a separate research with reviews, forums, and consultations, so they want to integrate such assistance directly into the marketplace.
"Smart Comparison" has become one of the implementations of the future Wildberries AI assistant, which the company announced it was working on in 2025. After testing, the marketplace will study user reactions and decide how to further develop the function.
Previously, Wildberries had already launched other AI scenarios: a virtual fitting room for clothes and cosmetics, smart photo search, and AI-powered review summaries.
