Penzadieselmash launched 24 machines and began production of a line of radial turbochargers

By 2027, the plant will reach a capacity of 1,500 units per year and become a TMH competence center

At "Penzadieselmash" (part of TMH), 17 new and 7 modernized units of equipment were put into operation, and the serial production of radial turbochargers began. According to the holding's press service, the project is being implemented with the support of the Industrial Development Fund. Its key goal is to create capacities for producing up to 1,500 turbochargers per year.

The radial design, mastered by the plant, has higher efficiency, better maintainability, and reliability compared to axial counterparts. In the near future, three new machining centers for the production of turbocharger casing parts are planned to be put into operation. Simultaneously, construction and installation work in the workshops has been completed: roofs, lighting, and floors have been repaired, building facades have been insulated, and utility rooms have been put in order.

Alexander Morozov, First Deputy General Director of TMH, who inspected the plant, stated that a competence center for turbocharger manufacturing is being created at PDM, which will meet the needs of the entire TMH group and third-party customers. In fact, this involves the localization of a key component for diesel engine manufacturing, which until recently was critically dependent on imports. Mastering the full line of turbochargers at its own site allows TMH to control the quality, timing, and cost of a component that directly affects engine power and efficiency.
