Rostov-on-Don has updated the rolling stock of the municipal transport enterprise "Rostovpassazhirtrans". 90 new buses will be put on city routes, the city administration reported. Of these, 70 are NefAZ large-class vehicles (total passenger capacity - 96 people) and 20 are KAMAZ extra-large-class buses (passenger capacity - 162 people).
NefAZ 5299-40-52 buses are equipped with an air conditioning system, auto-informers with voice and visual alerts, LED displays, "Stop" buttons, and USB sockets. They also have a GLONASS satellite system installed.
Folding mechanical ramps are provided for passengers with limited mobility. Seats for privileged categories of passengers have additional handrails and lifting armrests. A signaling device for light and sound communication with the driver is installed in the wheelchair area.
The buses feature Rostov-on-Don symbols on their sides, making them recognizable on the city streets. The fleet renewal was supported by the regional government and the city administration.
