In Russia, cars that lose value the least on the secondary market after three years of operation have been named. The Lada Niva Legend topped the ranking, with its value decreasing by only 3.5% during this period. The study was conducted by Avito experts based on car sales advertisements.
Analysts compared the prices of new cars introduced in 2023 with the average cost of three-year-old cars on the secondary market at the beginning of 2026. The Lada Niva Legend showed the best result – the SUV is currently sold for an average of 872 thousand rubles.
Lada Granta and Granta Cross followed in the ranking. These models lost less than 10% of their original value, which was one of the best indicators among passenger cars in the country.
The top five also included the Lada Niva Travel and the Chinese crossover Haval Jolion. Among foreign brands, the Jolion proved to be the most liquid car: its price decreased by approximately 20% over three years.
The top ten models with the highest residual value also included Haval F7x, Haval M6, Changan CS35 Plus, Haval Dargo, and Lada Vesta.
According to Avito representatives, car liquidity remains one of the key factors when buying a car. The less a model loses value over time, the more profitable its subsequent resale. The value of a car on the secondary market is influenced by demand, technical condition, operating history, and market conditions.
Earlier it became known that the used car market in Russia continues to grow. In April 2026, Russians bought more than 542 thousand used passenger cars – significantly more than a month earlier and a year ago. The Lada 2107 remained the most popular model on the secondary market.
