The Russian Railways mobile medical complex "Saint Panteleimon" has begun operations outside Russia for the first time. From May 18 to June 4, the train will serve residents of Mongolia – including those in the capital and remote areas located along the Ulaanbaatar Railway. This was reported by the Russian Railways press service.
Consultations will be provided by Russian Railways-Medicine specialists. Patients will be able to receive consultations from a therapist, surgeon, urologist, gynecologist, endocrinologist, pediatrician, and dentist, as well as undergo examinations directly on the train. The complex includes equipment for ultrasound, ECG, mammography, and X-ray, as well as an express laboratory for analyses.
The trip is part of the humanitarian project "Mission Dobro" in cooperation with Rossotrudnichestvo. The Ulaanbaatar Railway, along which the medical train will operate, is a joint venture between Russia and Mongolia and is managed by Russian Railways.
"Saint Panteleimon" was designed by TMH Engineering specialists and built at the TMH plant in Tver by order of the Central Directorate of Healthcare – a branch of Russian Railways. High-tech solutions were used in the creation of the complex so that doctors could conduct diagnostics and consultations on the road, without being tied to a stationary clinic.
