The developer of solutions for corporate infrastructure, "RT-Iridium", presented its novelties at the "Goszakaz-2026" exhibition in Moscow, the company told "Pervy Tekhnichesky". The main event is the public release of the server virtualization platform distribution. This is the first such case in Russia: the trial version can be downloaded for free from the company's website.
In the updated version of the "Iridium" platform, the key element is the "Sphere" component. It provides centralized cluster management of servers and offers two important advantages. The first is high availability of virtual machines (HA). In case of hardware failure, the system automatically redistributes the load, and virtual machines continue to operate without data loss. The second is dynamic load balancing (DRS). The mechanism itself decides between which servers to distribute computing resources so that they do not stand idle or become overloaded.
"RT-Iridium" emphasizes that this eliminates "bottlenecks" and accident risks. When new servers are added to the cluster, DRS integrates them without manual intervention, and even load distribution reduces the likelihood of overloading individual nodes.
The Russian virtualization market moved to the stage of mass implementations only in 2026. According to analysts, until recently, three-quarters of servers in the country ran on foreign software. Platforms like "Iridium" are designed to close this critical dependence. The solution is in demand not only within Rostec, but also in other Russian companies where the issue of secure and stable operation of IT infrastructure on a domestic technology stack is acute. The value of such solutions is given by their compatibility with equipment from Russian manufacturers and compliance with the norms of state regulators in the field of cybersecurity.
