Uzbekistan to receive three modern TEM9 locomotives from STM

The machines are equipped with a DG-882 power unit and are designed for shunting operations on access tracks

Three modern TEM9 shunting locomotives manufactured by Sinara – Transport Machines (STM) will be supplied to industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan. The first two locomotives are planned to be delivered to the customer this month, and the third – by the end of the year.

The new machines were produced at the Lyudinovo Diesel Locomotive Plant and are equipped with an STM-developed DG-882 power unit.

With a power of 882 kW and a structural weight of about 14 tons, the locomotives are designed for shunting and hauling operations on the access tracks of industrial enterprises. According to the stated characteristics, they are distinguished by their economy, smooth running, and modern control system aimed at increasing the efficiency of shunting operations.

It is separately noted that the DG-882 diesel generator is already in operation on TEM14 locomotives operating on the Pacific Railway, where it has confirmed its reliability under intensive conditions.
