Over 1000 Sports Prostheses Manufactured at CITO in 4 Years

The rehabilitation device has an individual shape and reduced weight

The Center for Innovation in Traumatology and Orthopedics (CITO, part of Rostec) has manufactured over 1000 high-tech sports prostheses for patients over the past four years. These technical rehabilitation aids allow individuals to engage in running, weightlifting, and other sports. This was reported by the state corporation's press service.

The prosthesis is selected individually for each patient. Individual biomechanical adjustment ensures its stability.

Advantages of sports prostheses:

  • Reduced weight
  • Special foot shape
  • Adaptive knee module

The products are protected from moisture and dust, making them reliable even in extreme conditions.

Our center produces prostheses according to the highest technological requirements. We constantly update and modernize production processes.

Development of Prosthetics in Russia

CITO specialists participate in the development of the domestic prosthetics industry. With their help, new state standards for technical rehabilitation aids have been developed and implemented.

In 2025, CITO and the "Zashchitniki Otechestva" foundation launched a program for military personnel. Soldiers are provided with prostheses and taught how to use them, for example, for skiing and snowboarding. The pilot project was implemented at a health complex in the Kemerovo region.

High-tech prosthetics centers are opening in Russian regions. CITO branches already provide assistance in the Moscow region, Omsk, Izhevsk, St. Petersburg, and 3 other cities. New centers will open in 2026, including in Arkhangelsk, Yalta, and Krasnoyarsk.
