An-124 "Ruslan" transported a unique 43-ton stator

An reinforced frame with an increased base area was developed for the transport aircraft

Volga-Dnepr Airlines completed another unique order and delivered a 43-ton stator to the city of Volzhsky. The delivery was carried out by the An-124 "Ruslan" transport aircraft.

To successfully complete the cargo delivery, specialists developed and manufactured a reinforced frame with an increased base area to meet the floor load requirements at the airport.

Also, for the "Ruslan", the fastening methods were modernized during the transshipment stage at one of the route points.

The An-124 is one of the highest-capacity aircraft in world history. Its maximum takeoff weight of 405 tons allows it to perform transportation of almost any complexity. For example, there is no alternative for transporting satellites and heavy generators.

New "Ruslan" transport aircraft are no longer being built in Russia. Aviation expert Oleg Panteleev explained to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" that resuming production of 50-year-old air freighters is a senseless undertaking.
