Russian Military Showcases "Yolka" Interceptor Drone Complex for the First Time

The new platform has passed field tests and is preparing for serial refinement

The first tests of a combat complex consisting of four modernized "Yolka" interceptor drones were conducted at the training ground. The launch module is mounted on a rotating base, allowing the system to quickly deploy the interceptor block in any direction and ensure target acquisition across the entire circumference – 360 degrees.

The new configuration allows simultaneous coordination of several devices to cover airspace at low and medium altitudes. Each drone is now capable of independently assessing the situation, choosing the optimal approach trajectory, and transmitting tactical parameters to the other units of the group.

The complex was tested for target acquisition accuracy and deployment speed on the ground. The next stage involves serial adaptation of onboard equipment for long-term operations.

Recall that the interceptor's body is designed with an intersecting wing scheme, which combines the maneuverability of a multicopter and the aerodynamics of an aircraft. Four propeller-motor groups are installed at the ends of the wings, allowing for instantaneous changes in thrust vector and precise turning towards a moving target.
